OK, decision made.

so, John Hench forgive me, I'm choosing the dark ride.

Super duper incredibly simplified task list:
Step one- Going to roll a fresh blog up to hold the ramblings, notes and art.
Step two- Pick a concept or property to base the ride on
Step three- initial concept document
step four- research
step five- Gnomes steal underpants. probably lots of ugly ass sketching.
Step six- refinement, probably lots of bad ideas, hopefully some good ones
Step seven- actual production pieces. You know, the pretty ones they put in books
Step eight- final concept presentation

So I was Listening to Chris Oatley's artcast the other day, and he talked about personal projects. Basically just picking a pet project to do that you can break into little steps and progress towards (This was in opposition to vague goals like get better, do more work, etc.)

So I was trying to think of projects that I'd find interesting. I thought I'd post them here and see what if any interest there might be for any of them.

1. Modern Age Freedom Force Character designs- Updating the characters of an old favorite Supers RTS game from their silver age originals to modern age versions. I know Irrational released some drawings around the time Bioshock came out, but I honestly found them to be...well, meh.

2. Good Omens character designs- The novel by Terry Pratchett and Niel Gaiman. One of, if not my favorite novel. Lots of interesting characters like the horsepersons, Anathema, and the various Demons.

3. A Dark Ride- Concepting and designing the ridethrough of a dark ride. Either original or based on one that's gone. Dark Rides are a serious fanboyism of mine, and designing one could be incredibly fun, or frustrating since it's totally outside my normal area.

Any thought on these or suggestions?
