Being....sick...sucks.

I was having a great time and them within 24 hours of returning home after the show, I'm waylaid by a nasty head cold/ sinus crud. Frelling hell. Finally starting to shake it now, but I lost two days of working on stuff to it.

anyway...

Had a great show this year despite not getting a table. Many good port reviews, although Wotc wants  me to be more painterly before I can get any Magic work. (That said I really like the way the new AD Jeremy Jarvis looks over a port. Gets in really close and then gives a nice concise review and advice. Right to the point, I do respect that.)

One nice side effect of not having a table was I got th play a little at the show this year. Played some demos for Dreamblade (which rocks.) and some Magic with my nephew (who's seriously thinking of dumping Yu-Gi-oh in favor of the grandaddy of ccgs. He's finally growing up *sniff*)

Easily the coolest thing all con. Donato Giancola started painting, and I got
to watch, along with a good number of the other artists around the  show.
This is at about an hour into it.

Further along on Donato's painting, about two hour's time total at this point.

Nigel Sade, who my wife has a crush upon and she demanded a pic of him.

Rest of pics to come after I dl them frommthe camera

So, nothing new to show as far as a wip, as the two current gigs are under nda. But if I get any time to do any personal work after I get caught back up, I'll post it here.

I see me hidden somewhere in the Donato pic:)

Seems WotC wants a very uniform style. And it's no wonder they told me my work wasn't for gamers since they no longer use Rebecca Guay or Stephanie. Probably because they are too "girly".
