Not a lot to report, really, but what there is is tentatively hopeful. I look at the last six months of work I've done and I see a definite improvement in my rendering and color. Especially the last half dozen or so pieces, like Level 11 and the Tiefling Biker. I feel like my compositions are so static still though. Need to work on that.
Hoping to get some more commercial work soon, but in the meanwhile I have started a fool's labor on my blog. I'm drawing or painting a girl of some sort every weekday for a year. That's the goal anyway. Some will be loose, some will be nicely rendered, but the goal is to have something curvy up every Monday through Friday to improve on self-discipline and hopefully anatomy and getting some flow back into my figures. For anyone that's interested in seeing it the url be: [link]
Other than that I'd like to get to more shows this year, but that's so dependent on how many commercial gigs I can get that I can't even start to think beyond Gencon (which is close enough to drive to daily.)
anyway, that's my opening argument to the year. Thank you to all my fans and watchers for keeping me at this for the last six years. I'll try to keep the pretty pictures coming
